What you shared shows strength, not weakness. You survived, you learned to trust yourself again, and you built a life on your own terms. Every version of you mattered, and all of them led you here.
I just want to say this was deeply felt. The complexity, the lack of neat justice, the work of trusting yourself again. Thank you for putting language to something so many carry quietly.
This is so incredibly powerful and beautifully written. Thank you for sharing this - it helped me understand stand a lot about how to think about domestic violence
This is so powerful. Sending you so much healing and future joy.
I tried to press charges after I reported mine. I was told they didn't think a jury would rule in my favor, since they knew I had multiple sexual partners. The case was dropped by the police.
Horrible, awful. And yet we move forward. And we don't forgive, and we don't forget, but we build something new.
The injustice we see is absolutely infuriating. Having conversations like these, answering these questions truthfully rather than with an answer others might be more comfortable with, is vital. Thank you for being brave enough to. 🤍

Lots of love.
The injustice is indescribable that so little of these cases get to trial let alone see the consequences.
You are so strong, no one can take that from you.
So much love ❤️
What a truly amazing and honest piece.
